We're advertising this as a house since there is a building left on the plot but really you would be buying the land. However, having the building there (such as it is) means that you won't get embroiled in planning permissions, though you will have to respect the local architecture since this is a national conservation area. The government is expected to slap a 'no build' notice on here for the next two years but it won't apply to you since you will be restoring, not building! The plot of land (650 sq.m.) is much larger than it appears on the photos since it extends in two directions: a flat area with a couple of beautiful trees, ideal for sitting out, and a more wooded triangular are which is very private and lush. The village is one of the most beautiful we have seen, set in the midst of the hills and forest yet only twenty minutes from the beach. There is an amusing shop/cafe, a bus service and a good netalled road. It also has electricity but water has to be piped up from wells (everyone has one, so no problems about actually finding the water). Delightfully warm in summer without being blazing hot with snow in winter. There's plenty of wood available for heatingshould you need it |
