This house is on two levels (entrance via the upper level). The lower level would make an ideal sitting room/kitchen and there are plans to put three bedrooms and a bathroom on the upper level. The lower level is stone, the upper is wood construction. The village has electricity and has plenty of water. It is pleasantly warm in winter and has snow from December to March. The beaches of the southern Black Sea coast are only 18 kilometres away. The owner has established an excellent relationship with the village mayor and there will be no objections to restoration as long as the exterior remains in character with the rest of the village. We can't imagine that the sort of romantic who would take this project on would want to do anything else with this significant part of Bulgaria's history. |
